quality of life progress report

In 1985, JCCI published its first community indicators report, in the hopes that this grand experiment of providing a yardstick for improvements would prove useful. As we approach three decades of providing annual updates, the impact far exceeded expectations. This report has fueled over a thousand similar efforts around the globe, and has been recognized as a United Nations Best Practice as well as a model for community improvement in every continent (except Antarctica.)

Here in Jacksonville, individuals and institutions use this report to identify needs, develop programs, allocate funding, target priorities, educate others, evaluate effectiveness, and report on successes. Come take a look at our latest report and learn something new about our community!

Annual Quality of Life Progress Reports

A few years ago, the Florida Times-Union reported on the trends in an annual report. They concluded their story this way:

“In some ways, the best news for Jacksonville is the [Quality of Life Progress] Report itself. The very premise of the report, and of JCCI, is the belief in Jacksonville as a community where the problems of some are the responsibility of everyone.”

We appreciate the compliment, and encourage you, the reader, to use the report to find where you can make a difference in the community.
