Our Mission: Jacksonville Community Council Inc. (JCCI) is a nonpartisan civic organization that engages diverse citizens in open dialogue, research, consensus building, advocacy and leadership development to improve the quality of life and build a better community in Northeast Florida and beyond.

What We Do: Every day, JCCI is driven by the bold idea that together we can build a better community. We bring people together to learn about our community, engage in problem solving, and act to make positive change.

JCCI is perhaps best known for our work with:

Now Available - 2011 Race Relations Progress Report

Ten years ago, JCCI examined the issue of race relations in the Northeast Florida region with the 2002 Beyond the Talk study. The Race Relations Progress Report was created in response to the recommendation to produce an annual report card to measure progress and hold the community accountable for eliminating race-based disparities. Previous year’s reports can be viewed by visiting JCCI's Indicators page.

Our History: JCCI was created in 1975 as a result of the Amelia Island Community Planning Conference to examine community issues by bringing together a broad cross section of the population. Over the last 35 years, JCCI has provided a forum and a structure through which groups of informed, concerned citizens have made a difference in public policy decisions.
