JCCI Forward hosts Networking Socials throughout the year. Usually built around an Issue Forum orientation, an Issue Forum wrap-up, recruitment or a holiday gathering, the socials also serve to allow JCCI Forward participants to connect with each other, strengthen realationships and interact with leaders in the community.

Mystery Guest Lunch

This is an activity that involves having lunch with a "mystery guest" who is a leader in the Jacksonville comunity. The first four guests who respond to the Mystery Guest lunch invitation are selected to attend this function whose purpose is to provide JCCI Forward participants access to local leaders.

Food for Thought

JCCI Forward hosts food for thought throuhghout the year in a variety of different settings such as lunch, happy hour or dinner. The purpose of Food for Thought is to allow JCCI Forward participants with each other in a more intimate setting and discuss current community issues. The activity involves a meal hosted by a member of our Social Committee and is held in different areas of the city to allow flexibility to those interested.

Leadership Development Workshops

Leadership Development Workshops are half-day, interactive, mobile workshops structured around a topic of current community interest. Workshops may feature a keynote speaker, a tour or other interactive activity, and a lunch panel discussion on the topic. Devoted to kee[ping JCCI Forward members involved, engaged and connected, the Leadership Development Workshops allow members to study important issues in a dynamic setting, while interacting with expert resources.

Issue Forums

Issue Forums are a fun and informative way to get involved with the community. Selected for their relevance to current6 community issues, these forums study a particular topic typically over a period of six to eight meetings. Resource speakers are brought in on the subject, and the forum participants are encouraged to create an action plan to address the issue they have studied to effect change.

Training

JCCI Forward members are encouraged to attend these training sessions designed to encourage the growth of interpersonal leadership skills. Some of the topics emphasised in the training sessions are time management, building consensus, conflict resolution, crisis management,networking, business manners, and advanced strategic planning.
