Our History

JCCI was created in 1975 as a result of the Amelia Island Community Planning Conference to examine community issues by bringing together a broad cross section of the population. Over the last 30 years, JCCI has provided a forum and a structure through which groups of informed, concerned citizens have made a difference in public policy decisions. When enough people care to act, the course of an entire city can change.
