Determining Jacksonville’s future in the convention business

Jacksonville Mayor John Peyton charged the Jacksonville & the Beaches Convention and Visitors Bureau [CVB] with forming a community task force to study and recommend a course of action for Jacksonville’s convention future. The CVB then asked JCCI to facilitate the Task Force’s meetings and ensure opportunity for full community participation and input. For a full list of Task force members click here

M. G. Orender, past chair of the CVB, served as the task force chair and presided over a group of experts from a wide range of fields including business, banking, hospitality industry, arts and culture, real estate, development, social services, transportation, and others. JCCI will act as facilitator for the Task Force and its committees. All meetings were open to the public.
